Dr Emmanuel Pertsoulis
Principal Dentist / Practice Owner
Dr Pertsoulis, who has a bachelor of dental surgery (University of Sydney) and a diploma in clinical orthodontics (City of London Dental School), founded Maroubra Family Dental in 1997.
He enjoys helping patients with their dental needs and establishing a relationship with them for life. His goal is always to provide outstanding dental care at an affordable price. Dr Pertsoulis particularly enjoys using his artistic background to create long-lasting, beautiful dentistry. He also appreciates his role as mentor to the quality dentists on his team. His plan has always been to create a legacy for Maroubra in having an outstanding family dental practice.
Originally from Sydney, Dr Pertsoulis enjoys working with his hands in various media to make functional, beautiful times out of wood, glass, stone, leather, clay and precious metals. He also uses his artistic talents in gardening and is currently working his third home garden, creating an outstanding living work of art. In addition, Dr Pertsoulis enjoys running, ocean swimming, playing tennis and travelling.

Dr Janie Hsieh
Dental Surgeon
Dr Hsieh calls Taipei, Auckland and Sydney her hometowns. She has been a team member of Maroubra Family Dental since 2007. Educated at the University of Otago (Bachelor of Dental Science) and the London Institute in Seattle, Washington, USA (dental implant surgery), Dr Hsieh is a recipient of the Trinity College London Grade Nine Piano with Distinction award.
About her work at the practice, she says: ‘I love seeing the smiles on my patients’ faces when I know that we’ve made a change in how they feel about their teeth and have made an impact on improving their oral health. Dentistry connects science with art, and it is always evolving. The variety of cases we see make my job interesting. Through my job, I also get to meet many new people and have the opportunity to help people. All of these would not be possible without a wonderful team of staff and colleagues who are always working together to provide the best care for our patients.
Outside of her work, Dr Hsieh enjoys meeting new people, travelling, reading, going to the gym and playing music with her boys.

Mrs Michelle McAdam, BOH
BOH/ Dental Hygienist
Michelle is a caring, passionate and gentle dental hygienist. Your comfort is her first focus. With over 25 years working in the dental industry, Michelle has dedicated her working life to dentistry.
Michelle completed her Bachelor of oral health degree in 2009 at the university of Newcastle (Ourimbah campus) and has been providing oral health care treatment and prevention working as a dental hygienist for over 15 years.
Michelle enjoys continuing education and learning new skills in dentistry.
Having qualified and worked for many years in private practice, she joins our practice with valuable oral health care knowledge and delivers high quality dental treatment.
Michelle works closely with Dr Pertsoulis to support and ensure thorough services and dental care for each individual patient.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys researching good nutrition, travelling and keeping fit and walking her dogs Harry and Alexis.

Maria Cifuentes San Martin
Practice Manager
Maria calls Maroubra her hometown. She has a cert III in dental assisting and took an implant surgery auxiliary course from the Nobel-Biocare Centre for Training. Maria was a recipient of the ‘Distinction award’ for cert III in Dental Assisting.
Part of the dental clinic team at Maroubra Family Dental since 2010, she loves ‘absolutely everything’ about her job. Maria has been working in the dental industry since 1989 and has seen many advances and new techniques in the industry throughout the years. She particularly enjoys interacting with patients and providing that feeling of calm and reassurance for an experience that is unpleasant to most people. Maria is grateful she is able to share her knowledge with patients, and she is cognizant of the fact that every little detail matters to patients. She is proud to be part of a wonderful dental team that collaborates to provide a relaxed family environment to patients.
Outside of work, Maria enjoys reading, travel, music and dancing.
Mrs Olga Petsoglou, JP
Front office/ patient co-odinator
Olga takes pride in providing patients with a fun and relaxed experience so they will have a positive and memorable visit.
She joins us with a wealth of experience in patient liaison having worked in the health industry for 15 years.
On a personal level, she enjoys a good laugh, going for walks to feed the ducks and is a dog lover.
Mary Pertsoulis
Accounts Manager
Mary has been a valued team member of Maroubra Family Dental since 2004. She has a Bachelor of Education Diploma as a primary school teacher from the University of Sydney. About her work, Mary has this to say: ‘I love getting to know our patients and making them feel comfortable in a happy and friendly work environment. I enjoy positive feedback about their dental experience at our practice and using this feedback to try to improve our quality of service.’
Outside of work, Mary likes to spend her time walking, travelling, cooking, dining and going to the theatre.
Zoe Keegan
Clinical Coordinator
With the clinic since 2009, Zoe has her Certificate III in Dental Assisting, Certificate IV in (radiography) Dental Assisting and Certificate IV in (oral health promotion) Dental Assisting. She enjoys working with the Maroubra Family Dental team members and getting to help people every day.
Originally from Maroubra, Zoe can probably be found painting, baking, travelling or going to the gym in her free time.
Pakaraporn Jaroenpol
Dental Assistant
Pakaraporn was trained in Phuket Patong Hospital, in Thailand, where she is from originally. As part of Maroubra Family Dental since 2017, she loves the variety of her position. She finds that because she gets to interact with such a varied group of people, she is always learning.
In her spare time, she loves to cook and is always searching for new recipes and cooking techniques to try out.
