Technology

Dental technology is ever-changing, and it can be a challenge to keep up with what is new. Our entire team understands the value of improved technology, and we all believe it is crucial in providing the best treatment for our patients. Technology not only enables us to make more accurate diagnoses—often before dental issues are even visible to the naked eye—but it almost always improves the patient experience. We want to make coming to the dentist as pleasant and comfortable as possible, and we have incorporated the following into our dental clinic to help us to do just that.

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays are a standard part of many dental examinations, and they provide dentists with an important diagnostic tool. Today’s digital x-rays are safer than their traditional film counterparts, emitting less radiation than you might get outside on a sunny day.

Because we place such a strong emphasis on prevention, we use digital x-rays to see dental issues that are lurking below the surface of the teeth. For instance, a tiny spot of tooth decay that is virtually invisible in a visual examination might be spotted on an x-ray. It can be treated early, with a minimally invasive filling.

Digital x-rays also enable Dr Pertsoulis to see abnormalities in your mouth and can often make treatment recommendations before issues become a painful emergency.

Intra-Oral Camera

Often used in tandem with digital x-rays, these tiny cameras enable Dr Pertsoulis to see the nooks and crannies of the mouth that are not visible in any other way. He can also show patients problem areas on-screen in real-time, which is a great way to help patients make the best decisions about treatment recommendations.

Digital Records

Your privacy is important to us, and digital records enable us to keep personal information out of the wrong hands. It also protects your information from natural disasters, such as fire and flood.

Our patients appreciate the accuracy of digital records because there is no chance of errors made as a result of handwriting that is difficult to read.

CEREC Same-Day Dental Crowns

If you’ve ever had a traditional dental crown, you know the process usually involves two separate dental appointments, a couple of weeks apart. With CEREC same-day dental crowns, however, you can have beautiful dental crowns fitted and fabricated all in one dental appointment. CEREC same-day dental crowns are strong, durable and natural-looking—not to mention convenient.

Laser Dentistry

We commonly use laser dentistry for procedures such as cutting with or very little anaesthetic and gum disease treatment. It provides a minimally invasive way for treatment that can mean faster healing times for patients.

Televisions in Treatment Rooms

We want your time with us to be comfortable and relaxing, so we are pleased to offer televisions in the treatment rooms. You can relax and enjoy some downtime watching your favourite programme during treatment.
